Haier HLP23E Electronic 1-1/2-Cubic-Foot Touch Pulsator Top-Loading Portable Washing Machine Review

So, I bought this washer about a month ago and I have to say that even though I was so excited to be doing laundry in my apartment, I found this washer not as convenient as I would have liked, considering that I had to babysit it.

Here is my list of pros:
1)You can do laundry in your own home! As a New Yorker I can not overstate the convenience of this. I would write more about this but since this is the reason I bought it...
2)It fit about 10-12 items in it. This included pants, skirts, underwear and shirts. I mixed it up.
3)The control panel is real nice. smooth even.
4)Even without the muffler,it's an okay volume (see below).

Here is my list of cons:
1)It arrived dented. Not only were the thingees that were supposed to connect it to the sink dented but so far I have not been able to attach the bottom sound muffler plastic plate because the body of the washer is too dented to do that.
2)I have to babysit it. I know I already mentioned that but here are the deets: it would do a wash cycle and then tell me that there wasn't enough water coming through the sink. How much water do you need, little fella? The sink was turned all the way on and streaming away so maybe consider hooking it up to a fire hydrant? Waterfall?
3)The metal widget to adapt to the sink (even if it had been undented) was well, unique. They give you these rubber washers which are supposed to make things connect to your sink. These washers may work for others. For me? Nyet. So I went to the hardware store, with my washer, consulted with the plumbing dept, and bought a different piece which I then installed to my sink (FYI, apparently in plumbing there are either big threads or small threads and the threads on my sink were the wrong kind).
4) The drainage tube should be hung lower than the faucet. I found this difficult and logistically if you have a small apartment a bucket might be a good idea because otherwise the spin cycle does not get all the water out unless the drainage tube is lower than the input tube.
5) No casters. It's on a furniture dolly because I wanted it to move around but I foolishly concluded that 'portable' and 'casters included' go together.
6)Terrible, I mean TERRIBLE instruction booklet. I rate the instruction booklet negative 65 stars.

I've only used my washer a few times so I'll update when I have more to say.

LG : LFC20760SW Refrigerator Review

I will never again purchase an LG product and would suggest that all of you avoid them as well.Here's why:

1) Quality--Our previous refrigerator worked for about 25 years without ever needing a repair.Our LG refrigerator had a catastrophic failure in less than a year, becoming completely nonfunctional.

2) Parts availability--We were told that the electronics board, which is like your computer's motherboard, was on backorder for two months..The refrigerator cannot function without it, but none were available.

2) Customer service--Perhaps even worse than the fact that LG makes an unreliable product and doesn't stock essential components is the fact that their customer service is absolutely abysmal.Literally every single thing that I have been told by a customer service representative, supervisor, or "resolution agent" has been contradicted by someone else in LG's system.

So far I have made 13 phone calls in the 12 days since the appliance died, since no one ever calls you back.

Everyone has agreed, since day 4, that the unit is under warranty, that LG cannot make us wait for so long for the unit to be repaired, and that the refrigerator will be replaced with a new one.But for some reason the case still had to "reviewed," which two people said would take 3-5 days another said 7-10 days, another said she'd mark "urgent" to expedite it, etc.

The exchange was then disapproved and the part that wasn't available until 8/25 suddenly would be available on 7/27 (or 7/31, depending upon which person was lying to me at the time).Since the odyssey started on 7/12, we didn't feel that waiting 2 weeks without a refrigerator was reasonable at any time, but especially during the summer.

We'd already had to throw out food, we'd been unable to buy groceries because we had nowhere to store them, we'd canceled a party for 30 people because we couldn't store things in advance of preparing them, and we'd spent money eating out each night.

I complained and the exchange was magically approved.But first it had to be assigned to an agent who would organize the exchange.I was given an agent's name and direct phone number.That agent has never called me, not even in response to the three messages I've left in the last two days.

So it has been almost two weeks already and although everyone has known that LG needs to provide a new replacement refrigerator, we still have no information about when that may be.Do yourself a favor and avoid the continuous aggravation and endless hassle--just don't buy LG products.

Magic Chef 3.6 cu ft Refrigerator MCBR360S Review

The refrigerator keeps a steady temperature of 35 degrees with the dial on a setting of 5.7 is the max setting, and 1 is the minimum.The refrigerator increases temp by about 6-8 degrees if you open the door for a minute and add more products.But if you open the door just to take out a drink, the temperature stays steady.
I give this refrigerator a 3 because of the noise level.The first one i bought was so noisy that i had to bring it back.It made a buzzing sound, probably due to a loose screw or something mechanically wrong with the compressor.I got a new one, same exact model, and that annoying buzzing sound is gone, but you can definitely hear the compressor when it's on.It turns on for about 2 minutes, then shuts off for about 5 minutes.It repeats this cycle.
The noise doesn't bother me, but that's because i keep the refrigerator in a place where it doesn't need to be super quiet.This product does the job and even though i give it only 3 stars, i do recommend it.It fits quite a bit of food and drinks.A half-gallon carton of milk fits nicely in the bottom compartment.I keep this at work, and 4 employees can store their lunches in there, as well as drinks and some extras too.
