I purchased this for my 17 month old grandaughter after watching her play with a similar one at a childrens museum. After reading various reviews of other similar products, I narrowed it down to this one based on its wooden construction and simplicity. Upon its 2 day Amazon Prime arrival, I was please when I opened the box to find 3 E-Z pieces to assemble. The product was well constucted with simple, but real looking stove knobs (which rotate) and raised up wooden burners. The kitchen also has a plastic removable sink with wooden faucets and spout. The unit was finished very nicely with what appears to be multiple coats of a clear finish for easy cleaning. The hinges on the door appear to be larger than needed for added durability. The two doors open up to a large area for toy storage. In closing, things that are simple tend to spark the imagination of a child, throw in some durable toy fruits and vegetables along with a play set of pots and pans and sit back and watch with pleasurer as the little one in your life bakes you a cake or other imaginary culinary delight.
