A good product. The magnet is actually just a plastic form with a small magnet in each end. One north, one south. They have good strength and the "magnet" has a handle that makes it easy for a kid to hold. The kit includes a lot of small pick up pieces that can get lost. The magnet can pick up all the included pieces and then some.

10 Neodymium Magnets 1 x 1/4 x 1/4 inch Bar N48 Review

These magnets came as titled, 10 n48 magnetized through length so the poles are at the ends. Description is misleading as it says lot of 30 but I doubt many people read the product description.

As far as refrigerator magnets these things are setup the wrong way. Having been magnetized through the length the magnets are strongest sticking 1 inch out of the refrigerator. If you are using the magnet on its side you will find that these are nothing to write home about and will naturally try to stand itself upright when you try to remove it. But at its most ideal I would estimate it would require a force of around 6-10 lbs to remove. Well worth the money if you have the proper application.

10 Neodymium Magnets 1/2 inch Cube N48 Review

These are the strongest magnets I have found of their type.They work very well to hold up heavy items on "magnetic painted" walls, which require a lot of power.
My only complaint is that they are very brittle and chip if allowed to snap together quickly. This is probably a feature of the material and not the vendor.
Also, keep them away from the little ones, they can hurt quite a bit if they pinch you and really should not be eaten.

Magnets - Periodic Table Review

I bought periodic table magnets as a gift for a friend who likes all things brainy. It was an instant hit, in fact, some of the guests spent most of the party by the refrigirator, putting together the periodic table.
